All children at the School participate in bush school sessions, all year round in all weather. Bush school sessions are weekly for the first 5 years of school (K-C3) with a more diversified outdoor learning program delivered for upper primary students (C4-6).
Nature-based learning is a strong theme in the Steiner curriculum with outdoor play integrated into everyday learning. Nature is also a strong theme in learning experiences through stories, songs, craft, gardening and baking activities which are all strongly connected to the seasons.
Bush School provides children with the opportunity to immerse themselves in outdoor play in a natural bush setting. These learning experiences extend children's understanding of sun, rain, air and earth including changes in the weather and natural rhythms. Children develop their physical skills and strength and learn how to build and create with natural materials.

Camps Program
From Class 3 onwards the students participate in a camps program aligned with the year level curriculum areas. Our students slowly building their skills and confidence as they move from camping out in our Bush Regeneration Paddock in Class 4 through to navigating and staying in wilderness areas by Class 6. Moving into year 7 and 8, the camps will be multi-day and in wilderness locaitons.
Unless otherwise advised, the Village Green located in Trevallyn Nature Recreation Area will be the normal drop off and pick up point.
